Roseville area celebrates fall with family and book festivals

The City of Roseville’s sixth Annual Family Fest is coming this weekend, with over 3,000 people expected to attend.

Kids can climb in and out of vehicles in the Truck Zone and enjoy games, bounce houses, face painting, and crafts in the Kids’ Zone.

Over 50 family-oriented vendors will be onsite. These will include family services, sports organization, and places for families to go. Many vendors will be passing out freebies, marketing materials, and Promotional Products. All vendors will have interactive games and displays, or at least something for everyone to do. Local youth groups will be performing on the stage, and Sacto Mofo will be providing food trucks.

For those families bringing small children, ScholarShare is having a Children’s Book Festival. The Mother Goose stage will have continuous presentations and readings by authors and illustrators who will then be signing their Books for attendees.

Headlining this year’s festival will be the author and illustrator of Mr. Panda Books, Steve Antony. His Books include ‘Please Mr. Panda’, ‘Goodnight, Mr. Panda’, ‘Thank You Mr. Panda’, and ‘I’ll Wait, Mr. Panda’.

The festival will have a storytelling component, a Scholastic book fair, and hands-on literacy activities.

Family Fest will be this Saturday, September 29 from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm at Vernon Street Town Square. The event will be free. The Children’s Book Festival will be on the same dat at Fairtale Town, 3901 Land Park Drive, Sacramento.
