Registration underway for 80s-themed run and party

Although may seem a little early, now is the time for all running enthusiasts to register and clear room on their Calendars for the upcoming I Love the 80s Fun Run 5K or 10K.

Slots are filling up for this family friendly run, which is all about simply having a good time.

The registration fee will allow the participant entry into either the 5K or the 10K run, and they will receive an 80s participation medal and entrance into the After Party and ‘80s activity area. Participants are invited to come attired in anything connected with the 1980s, such as leotards and legwarmers.

The dance party will include a range of contests, such as Best Dressed Male and Female, Most Creative Costume, Best ‘80s Icon, Best ‘80s Dance Moves, and finally the largest I Love the ‘80s team.

The fun will begin May 1 at Vernon Street in Roseville’s Town Square in Roseville. Team warmups will begin at 8:30 am with the 10K beginning at 9:00. The 5K will start 15 minutes later.

To be sure to get an event T-shirt, entrants will want to register on or before April 8, leaving just over a week to get involved. Fees for the 10K will be $35, or $30 for the 5K and $35 for youth runs. Registration fees go up $10 after April 8.
