Although the Christmas season seems far away, local businesses and associations are now in the planning stages for their participation in the 60th Annual Sylvia Besana Holiday Parade coming at the end of November.
The event traditionally includes family-friendly entertainment with craft booths, plenty of food vendors, and a parade replete with floats, horses, dancers, and bands. Santa will be the final entry in the parade ushering in the holiday season.
Vendors, sponsors, and anyone wanting to enter a unit or float in the parade are encouraged to reserve their spaces now. This will give parade entries time to arranged banner printing and have a visible way to introduce themselves to the crowd.
All parade entries will be judged and entry fees will be $15 for equestrian units and general entries, and $50 for businesses. Winners will receive notification on the event’s website and ribbons or trophies can be claimed at the Roseville Area Chamber of Commerce, 650 Douglas Blvd., after December 1.
Bands and equestrian units will line up beside the Rock Horse while all other entrants will begin the parade at 6th and Vernon Streets. The Parade will end in Roseville Square’s north lot situated behind Roseville Commons.
Local businesses, crafters, and non-profits will man booths from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm around Vernon Street Square.
The parade will take place Saturday, November 20 in Downtown Roseville. The parade will start at 10:30am.
