Southampton stage set for Sherwood Forest fun

A theatre in Southampton’s Hedge End will see a pantomime of Robin Hood take to the stage for a frolic through Sherwood.

Robin Hood the Panto is a family-friendly show that will be performed at the Berry Theatre on Wildern Lane in Hedge End. Presented by Big Pause Productions and HESA, the two-night run will feature a familiar cast of characters.

Along with his true love Maid Marian, Robin will be joined by not only Little John and his band of merry men but his “rather peculiar mum”. There will be plenty of villains treading the boards too, for those attending to boo and hiss at. These villains will include wicked Prince John, causing trouble while his brother King Richard is at war, and Sir Guy of Gisborne, who is set on stealing Marian as his own bride.

Theatres promoting upcoming shows at the box office can benefit from poster printing services to create colourful advertisements.

The traditional British panto aims to bring the legendary story of Robin Hood to life with plenty of songs and silliness, along with a few surprises for the audience.

Robin Hood the Panto at the Berry theatre features two performances, Friday January 17 and Saturday, January 18. Tickets are priced between £7 and £9, with concessions available for students, over 60s and those under 16.
