Residents throughout Hampshire were recently able to download and Print a poster advising trick or treaters not to bother households that display the Posters. Shops in the area also used Posters to combat anti-social behaviour, by displaying Signs stating that no one under the age of 16 would be able to purchase eggs and flour, to cut back on these items being used as part of ‘tricks’. Signs and Posters like this are becoming more popular as a civil way to cut down on undesirable behaviour and are often printed professionally by local printing companies that offer poster printing.
Southampton residents and those living in the wider Hampshire region who are considered vulnerable, or more at risk due to old age, were advised to display the poster if they felt it would help keep unwanted visitors at bay.
Jenny Patterson, the Chief Inspector at Hampshire Constabulary, spoke about these Posters, saying:
“Every year, Hampshire Constabulary’s force control room receives calls from people who have been frightened or disturbed by trick-or-treaters in Hampshire and the Isle of Wight. Tackling anti-social behaviour is a priority for Hampshire Constabulary and police officers will be targeting hotspot areas during Halloween and Bonfire Night to ensure that people are respecting others in their local neighbourhood.”
However, the message was not about preventing young people from having fun at Halloween. Local borough councils provided free activities to many children to help keep them off the streets and out of mischief.Get a Free Quote for Signs Get a Free Quote for Print Get a Free Quote for Posters
