Management change at regional innovation centres

A new appointment by Oxford Innovation has changed the management team for innovation centres in Southampton, Fareham and Portsmouth.

Stephen Brownlie is responsible for the performance of the three hubs and has welcomed Peter Outen to the management structure.

Brownlie can contact Stationery printers in Southampton (Hedge End) to update material for Oxford Innovation in light of the arrival of Outen. Brownlie has told the Portsmouth News:

“Peter is ideally suited to take the Technopole to the next level and we anticipate the centre being full within the next three months due to the long-term growth of the economy and excellent service provision.”

In addition to his wider responsibilities, Brownlie is in charge of the new innovation centre at Fareham. This is located near the Solent.

Outen has assumed control of Portsmouth Technopole. With a background in technology sales, it is hoped he will bring something fresh to the organisation. He has spoken positively about the atmosphere of the place. Nearly 40 enterprises already use serviced offices there.

His initial work will focus on altering one floor of the building he has been given to run. The aim is to give the innovation centre new impetus by adding break-out spaces and meeting rooms. About £100,000 has been allocated to deliver the plan, and some of this money will be spent on the provision of a café.
