Hedge End to host cinema sequel

A celebrated theatre in Hedge End Southampton is set to hold a special screening of an acclaimed sequel to a famous film for children.

Hedge End in Southampton’s Berry Theatre has announced it will be hosting an inclusive screening of the Disney film “Mary Poppins Returns” this summer. These special screenings are designed to create a more relaxed environment for people with learning difficulties and dementia. The theatre invites individuals and their carers to attend these events to benefit from shows featuring additional light, softer sound and safe access in and out of the theatre whenever required. Inclusive screenings also include subtitles and an interval with tea and biscuits.

Mary Poppins Returns features Emily Blunt, reprising the role originally played by Julie Andrews of the enchanted nanny who comes back to help the Banks family once more at a challenging time in their lives. Cinemas and theatres presenting feature films sometimes look to poster printing services to create attractive advertisements for their foyers.

The inclusive screening of Mary Poppins Returns will take place at the Berry Theatre at 10.30am on Wednesday, June 14. The film is approximately two hours and 10 minutes long. Standard tickets, as well as those for over 60s and people using a wheelchair, are all priced at £5 per person. The theatre can be found on Wildern lane in Hedge End, Southampton.
