Extra seats needed for Rod Stewarts Southampton gig

Demand for Rod Stewart’s June 10 concert in The Ageas venue in Southampton was such that an additional allocation of 400 seats were made available.

The decision to offer 400 extra seats within The Ageas Bowl (TAB) was made with little notice, after the gig at the venue sold out during the course of 2015. Promotional Drinkware from Southampton Hedge End can be used by organisations holding events at places like TAB.

The tickets that were put on sale days before the event had been in the reserved category, put on the market for £95. It was possible to obtain them online. Alternatively, the tickets could be sourced at TAB’s box office.

Before the concert, Jason Cotillard, a director at music promoter Cuffe & Taylor, told the Daily Echo:

“The reaction to Rod playing at The Ageas has been absolutely unprecedented. We have had no tickets available here since December so to be able to release such amazing seats just a few days before the concert is particularly exciting.”

The gig in question was the third on a nationwide tour. Stewart has embarked on a series of dates which will take him to at least eight locations, including Hull, Cardiff and Inverness. The extra Southampton tickets were for seats that were situated right in front of the central portion of the stage.
