Alternative rockers sail into Southampton

A Southampton venue is set to welcome a renowned alternative rock band.

Rock lovers from Botley Green, Hedge End and other Southampton areas will not want to miss an upcoming appearance from alternative quartet Wolf Alice. While the band was originally formed as a two-piece comprised of Ellie Rowsell on vocals and guitar with Joff Oddie on guitar and vocals, the group grew when it added a bassist and drummer. While these roles were originally performed by friends of the founders, today they are taken on by Joel Ameyn on drums and Theo Ellis playing bass guitar.

Recent years have seen Wolf Alice perform headline shows to critical acclaim and audience appreciation. The upcoming concert will see the band perform songs from their back catalogue and third album, “Blue Weekend”, which was released this year and follows “Visions of Life”, which won the coveted Mercury Prize in 2018.

Bands often employ professional Graphic Design Services to create branded artwork and typography for the album covers.

Fans of the alternative rock outfit attending the Southampton gig will get a chance to hear Wolf Alice hits like “Don’t Delete the Kisses”, “How Can I Make it OK?”, “The Last Man on Earth”, “Yuk Foo”, “Smile”, and “Heavenward”.

Wolf Alice will be on stage at the O2 Guildhall on West Marlands Road in Southampton on January 22, 2022, with doors opening at 7:00 pm.
