Timmins training session to address workplace conflict

Workplaces bring together people with a wide variety of backgrounds and issues, and knowing how to handle conflict effectively in an employment situation may be a valuable skill for a manager to have.

A workshop that will address conflict management and dealing with difficult behaviours will soon be on offer at the Timmins campus of Northern College. It will be delivered online using the Zoom platform, and the final date to sign up to participate is April 19th.

The class will introduce an assortment of topics. The learners will find out about why conflicts may occur, and the steps to take to effectively deal with them quickly. Difficult behaviours will be defined, and coping techniques are on the agenda. Tips that may be actioned in most workplace environments will be shared, and the goal is for everyone to walk away with a better understanding of themselves, others and how they interact.

This workshop will run from 8:30 am until 4:00 pm, and the fee to register is $310.75, which includes GST. Texts and other learning materials for both in person and virtual courses may be sourced from Stationery printers that offer binding services.
