Timmins geeks and fans of pop culture will soon have a reason to celebrate thanks to a gathering that is expected to attract attendees from all over Northern Ontario.
The organizers of TIMMINSCON have announced they are pleased to bring this two-day activity to the community, and all ages are welcome to participate. It has been planned for the McIntyre Community Centre, and tickets are available for purchase now.
The function will follow a Comicon-style format, and there will be meet and greets, vendor tables, presentations and lots of other activities on offer. The ticketholders will be able to plan their schedule so they can enjoy as many activities as possible. A replica of Optimus Prime will be in attendance, and several cosplay artists have already added their name to the roster of participants. It will provide an opportunity for the attendees to add some new pieces to their personal collections and also meet others from the area's geek community.
Pop culture conventions have become quite popular and are held in communities all across Canada. Many choose to utilize the services of area poster printing companies to ensure they have the marketing materials they need.
The 2023 instalment of TIMMINSCON will be welcoming one and all from 10am to 6pm on April 15th and from 10am to 4pm on April 16th.
