An in-person training session for Timmins’ mining sector is currently accepting registrations, and it will offer a variety of learning opportunities.
The Train the Trainer course will be an intensive exploration of how industry management and others who design and deliver educational workshops to their staff can improve their skills, and it will include a variety of learning methods. Informal feedback will be provided, and both new and experienced instructors may benefit from the class.
This event, which is specific to the mining industry, will cover the legislated training requirements, along with a discussion of how adults learn best. Both presentations and small group learning are on the schedule, and the fee for the day-long workshop is $960. It will be held in person at the Holiday Inn and Suites in Timmins.
Print shops can offer an assortment of materials for this type of event, and these can range from specialized manuals to certificates of completion for attendees. They can meet with the organizers well ahead of time to discuss their needs and budget, and they can then work within these parameters to provide the materials needed.
The Timmins instalment of the Train the Trainer short course is scheduled to start at 8:00 am on May 4th. It will be offered at other locations in August and October.
