Timmins to learn to prepare delicious desserts

A Timmins cookery class is about to make it easier for those who enjoy entertaining and wowing their guests with fancy desserts.

A class that will be taking place at Cedar Meadows Resort and Spa will teach attendees how to prepare two special desserts, and it will be a combination of hands-on learning and demonstration. The environment may not be suitable for those with gluten or nut allergies, but other food restrictions may be accommodated if arrangements are made in advance.

The students will be taught how to prepare calvados caramel apple pancakes and macerated strawberry cheesecake. They will watch as the instructor walks them through each of the steps, asking any questions they have. Samples will be provided, and the registration fee is $75, which includes any fees and taxes.

Before they head for home, everyone in the class will receive notes, as well a copy of the recipes. Stationery printers can be called upon to provide a wide selection of printed materials like these.

This two-hour-long introduction to the art and science of preparing two tasty desserts is scheduled for July 21st. It will run from 3:00 pm until 5:00 pm. The participants will be asked to sign a waiver before the class begins, and further details about the activity can be found by visiting its Eventbrite listing.
