The Kamiskotia Snow Resort, a non-profit organization which keeps skiing affordable for residents of Timmins, is holding a fundraiser this month in order to purchase a new snow groomer. The event will be called ‘Nuit Blanche’.
The event will transform the resort into a private club for the evening. Along with a Narnia inspired theme, it will feature a DJ, signature drinks served by bartenders, an ice bar, and hors d'oeuvres served by ice nymphs. All guests will be eligible to win a $1,000 jewelry door prize. There will also be a live auction and a sky lantern release; lanterns can be purchased for $100 each.
Local businesses will be donating the auction items which will include such prizes as trips, a bar fridge, ski resort passes and a mountain bike. These companies might want to work with Timmins printing companies to publicize their donation to the event. They could source Flyers which could be sent out by Direct Mail to everyone in the city with a mailbox.
This use of local printing companies might encourage more people to attend the event and will likely be a good public relations move for the company which sent the flyer. It has been shown that companies which are seen to be contributing to the community often gain more business because of it.
