A weekend of needle-themed fun has been organized for the Timmins area.
Northern College in South Porcupine will see the 2nd Annual Sewing Retreat hosted by Quilts for Survivors. Its goal is to leave those who take part feeling rejuvenated and refreshed, and the registration fee is $240.96.
The Eventbrite listing for the gathering explains that the retreat will welcome all skill levels, from the beginner up to the experienced sewist. Everyone can learn new techniques, and collaboration will be the order of the event. There will be workshops and other interactive opportunities on offer, and there will also be social mixers, friendly competitions and an assortment of displays. Accommodations need to be booked separately, though lunches, dinners and some snacks will be covered by the registration fee. If desired, the attendees can make an additional donation when they reserve their tickets.
