Southwestern Ontario communities included on new biker-friendly map

Printing services in Timmins, Ontario, have been invited to submit tenders to Print a new type of map, scheduled to come out in the spring of 2011. The map of a popular biker tourism installment will include communities in Southwestern Ontario, communities like Windsor and Essex County.

Prior editions of this biker map focused on communities like Elgin County, Haldimand, and Norfolk, but the upcoming map edition will mark the first time that the biker map will include Southwestern Ontario communities for routes and biker attractions.

According to the manager of economic development and tourism for Norfolk, biker maps are designed just a little bit differently than more conventional maps. Clark Hoskin says that when persons are going on a journey and are not on a motorcycle, they are concerned with mainly getting to their actual destination. For motorcycle enthusiasts, Hoskin continues, the focus is the opposite, with persons focused on the actual ride and journey to the final destination.

There are plans to currently publish a quarter of a million of these biker-friendly maps for the near future. At the moment, Norfolk County is looking for tenders from companies who can provide both Print and delivery services for the map. Tentative plans are for the map to be ready for May of 2011.

Bringing more motorcycle tourism to local, Southwestern Ontario spots makes sense from a business perspective. Many motorcyclists are baby boomers, and as such, traditionally have more disposable income to spend whilst on holiday.

Companies who traditionaly supply catalog and poster printing in Timmins will no doubt be able to handle the job with ease, so may want to submit their tenders to Print this innovative map.
