The first annual Dinner with the Stars is set to take place in Timmins later this month, and takes the form of a fundraising event for the Schumacher Lions Club.
This all-ages event will have former Toronto Maple Leafs hockey player Wendel Clark as the special celebrity guest. Those who purchase VIP Experience tickets will have a chance to attend a meet-and-greet reception with Clark and will also receive a personally autographed and framed Print of him. Then there will be a sit-down dinner for all guests.
Those who plan to attend from out of town can get a special hotel/event package deal from the Holiday Inn Express.
This is just one of the many fundraising events held by the Schumacher Lions Club, which then uses the money it brings in to help those who need it in the community. For example, it holds a seniors’ Christmas supper every year. This year, the Christmas Craft Show will be taking place this November and the Stan Fowler Telethon in December.
Timmins printing companies have no doubt provided the organizers of this fundraising event with the Flyers being used for advertising. The Flyers might also serve as a souvenir for those who attended the event and did not buy VIP tickets.
Dinner with the Stars will take place at the Porcupine Dante Club on September 27 from 5:30pm to 1:00 am . Tickets are $65 for general admission and $100 for the VIP Experience.
