Timmins Museum gives residents and visitors to the city a chance to learn more about both its human and natural history. An event that will help allow it to continue its efforts will be held in late November, and vendor applications for the function are now being accepted.
The museum is in the process of organizing its Christmas Market-Northern Ontario Artisan Gift Show. Once received, each application will be carefully reviewed, and the successful applicants will be invited to be a part of the show.
The planners of the day noted that they are interested in hearing from any local artists or artisans, and no mass produced items will be permitted. They have also made a request that each participant in the day donate one of their works, and these will be used as door prizes.
The application to be included in the show has been added to the Timmins Museum website. The booking fee for an eight-foot table is $40, while those that are four feet can be reserved for $25. A colourful banner can be an easy way for a vendor in an event like this to catch the eye of the crowd, and a banner printing company will be able to supply them.
This opportunity for local crafters, artists and artisans to have their works included in a regional show has been scheduled for November 30. Anyone who would like additional details can contact molly.mctiernan@timmins.ca.
