The Timmins and District Hospital in Timmins, ON is encouraging people living in the area to get involved and active in its fundraising event this summer. This year's pledge is to promote healthy living and the event is expected to draw people from various backgrounds and levels of ability in its daily challenges. Announced in early February, flyer printing is expected to help advertise the event, which is scheduled to begin on June 4, 2011 at the Timmins Regional Athletic and Soccer Complex.
Teams of up to 24 are free to register and come up with pledges. While the emphasis of the event is on healthy living, prizes will be awarded to first, second and third place players who win games. Teams also receive prizes for highest pledge money collected. The event, formerly known as the Road Runner Relay Event, hopes to generate funds for new cardiopulmonary equipment as well as encourage active lifestyles in local residents. In addition to raising important funds for equipment, the Timmins District Hospital also hopes to raise awareness in local residents about health conditions related to obesity, stress and heart disease.
Flyer printing services in the Timmins, ON area, and local media outlets are two important ways to reach residents and encourage them to participate in Timmins in Motion. In addition to various local Ontario radio stations advertising the event, an important local media sponsor in the Timmins area is the Daily Press, which will cover games and activities and feature the over 4,000 involved in making the Timmons in Motion festival a success.
