A Timmins community service group will be holding a special fundraiser to help fund food security efforts in the city.
Harvest Moon is on the way for this September, and the Anti-Hunger Coalition Timmins explained that it is eagerly anticipating the return of its Harvest Moon fundraiser, which will be back for the first time since 2019. It will include both a pot luck and silent auction, and everyone is asked to bring along a dish to share.
The planners of the event have set a fundraising goal of $5,000, and to help make that happen, they has requested that those who plan on attending the function to consider making a donation for its auction. These can be handmade crafts; specialty foods such as preserves; produce; art; a gift certificate; or a financial contribution. All assistance is welcome, no matter how large or small.
An auction, raffle or other draw being held in support of a not-for-profit group can be a good opportunity for a business to show its community spirit by contributing some Corporate Gifts. These may be sourced from Print shops that offer quality customized items.
The 2023 instalment of the Harvest Moon fundraiser will be held on September 23rd. It will start at 6:00 pm, and anyone who would like to get involved can find more details online.
