Canadian cult favourite band The Trews will perform some of their biggest hits in Milton this February as part of the “An Evening with the Trews” tour.
The band, which originated in Nova Scotia but has been based out of Hamilton for many years, rose to prominence over their 20-year career to become one of the most popular Canadian rock names. As part of the “An Evening with” event, the Trews are set to perform their platinum-selling album House of Ill Fame in its entirety, including hits like “Not Ready to Go”, “Tired of Waiting”, and “Fleeting Trust”, with the tour intended to promote the 20th anniversary of the album.
These anniversary concerts have become a popular way for bands to play some of their most famous songs as well as largely forgotten B-sides, and tour outside of the normal album release schedule, with original album art often used in the graphic design for show marketing material.
The group will also be playing hit songs and fan favourites from across their 26-year career. The Milton concert is part of a three-month tour across North America, including stops in the US, a number of performances in Southern Ontario, and a two-night finale in the band’s home ground of Halifax, Nova Scotia.
“An Evening with the Trews” will take place at the FirstOntario Arts Centre Milton on February 23, 2024.
