A local not-for-profit group focused on environmental action will be the host for a day that will help Halifax families show some love to the ocean and the creatures that call it home.
Ocean Action Day is being planned by Divert NS, and it will offer an introduction to its newly revamped Divert NS Ocean Action Zone, located at 1215 Lower Water Street.
Aimed at families, those who attend will be able to take part in an assortment of activities, and there will be subject matter experts on hand as special guests. These include representatives of Halifax Solid Waste, as well as the STEAM Team and the Ripple Project, and they will all be providing tips for living a more sustainable lifestyle. Everyone can visit the touch tank too to meet some live creatures.
Attending themed events like this one may help point the way for kids to learn about the value of living a sustainable lifestyle and other initiatives. A printing services company will be happy to provide environmentally friendly options when it comes to marketing such an activity.
The Discovery Centre will be partnering with Divert NS and other not-for-profit groups to offer Ocean Action Day on Saturday, January 25th. It will be open from 9:00 am until 4:00 pm. Admission to the venue starts at $14.50 each.
