A festival that will celebrate the fun of going meat-free is in the works for Halifax, and the activity will offer a tip of the hat to chefs and others in the culinary field from all across Atlantic Canada.
The planners of VegFest 2022 recently announced that the event is scheduled to take place in the Lighthouse Arts Centre. It will be filled with vendors, community service groups and other participants, with plenty of booths and exhibits for the attendees to explore.
The function is anticipated to draw a large crowd. The attendees can sit in on a nutrition workshop, sample the food and beverages on offer, learn some new vegan recipes, meet small business reps and potentially go home with a prize. They can also shop for an assortment of plant-based health and beauty products.
Any local eateries or other business that sells plant-based products is welcome to submit an application to participate. Those that are approved will be given the use of a 10-foot by 10-foot space. This includes a table, chair, drape, backdrop and the opportunity to add promotional materials to the VegFest resource table. Promotional Products are often distributed at such events.
VegFest 2022 will provide the chance to discover how easy going meat free is on October 23rd. It will be open to visitors from 10:00 am until 5:00 pm.
