The Halifax Business Awards are coming up this January. This annual event is hosted by the city’s Chamber of Commerce and tends to draw big crowds.
The event will consist of a pre-reception, a dinner, awards presentations, and a post reception. It will be an excellent chance for local business leaders to network while they honor their peers’ significant achievements.
There are six awards up for grabs, each of which has six finalists. The award categories include Business of the Year, which can be won by a company that has been in operation for over two years and has more than 26 employees; Business Person; International Business; and Innovative Business. There is also a Small Business prize up for grabs for companies with fewer than 26 employees.
Business leaders will no doubt make this event a priority in the New Year. It's possible that some of those planning to get involved will be placing business card printing orders in advance; local Print companies will be on hand to provide impactful designs and finishes.
There should be plenty of chances to exchange cards and talk about business during the receptions and dinner and the potential for securing new customers is one of the occasion’s biggest draws.
