This past year has presented many challenges for those who call Halifax home, but the local community will be celebrating the arrival of the holiday season with a display that can be enjoyed in safety.
Acadia Park, which is located on Sackville Drive in Lower Sackville, will be transformed into a winter wonderland, with its trees and structures decorated with thousands of soft white lights. It will be open to all the public to explore and enjoy, and it could be a lovely idea for a family evening stroll.
The monies raised through this initiative will be used to meet the expenses of providing maintenance and upgrades for Acadia Park, and area businesses are invited to lend a hand. Trees can be sponsored for $250 each, and the Presenting Sponsor for the initiative is the Sackville Business Association. The organization’s Logo Design, along with those of the other enterprises that have chosen to get involved, have been included on the event’s webpage.
The planners of the project have noted that last year, it was able to raise $1,900 for the park. They are hoping that 2020 will prove to be an even greater success.
“Light Up The Park” will begin on November 27th, and the winter wonderland will remain in place throughout the holidays. Anyone who would like to get involved is asked to contact the organizers directly.Get a Free Quote for Logo Design
