The Halifax International Busker Festival is the oldest and the largest festival of its type, over 500,000 people attended the festival last year. This year’s festival will no doubt attract even more visitors. The five stages will be located at the Historic Properties, Queen’s Warf, the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic, Sackville Landing and Summit Plaza. Admission to the festival is free for all.
Entertainers from places such as Australia, Canada, the USA, the UK, Ireland and the Netherlands will be appearing at the festival. Acts presented will include acrobats, mimes, musicians, martial arts presentations visual arts, comedy, fire eaters and magicians.
There will also be vendors selling merchandise, food, crafts and artworks. In addition there will be several interactive areas set up; YTV at Queen’s Warf will let you play Nerf Dart Tag and take part in a World of Warcraft beyblade battle, Hypersphere at Queen’s Warf South will let you experience weightlessness, Waxmen at Queen’s Warf will let you preserve a mold of your hands in wax and Atlantic Cirque at the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic will teach you how to be an acrobat.
