Halifax group organizes auction fundraiser

A group that believes everyone has a role to play in their community is set to host its signature fundraiser later this year.

Building Futures Employment Society works with those living in Halifax and the surrounding areas with intellectual disabilities to ensure that they are valued members of their community, and its Annual Auction is right around the corner.

The event is for those age 19 and up, and both new and seasoned bidders are invited to put their names on the guest list for this evening that will put the “fun” in fundraising. While they meet and mingle, the guests can sip on a drink from the cash bar. The Tuesday Night Band will provide the live music, and The Futures Cafe will be preparing a variety of bites for the attendees to enjoy.

Community service groups can help fill holes in an area’s social safety net, and they often host fundraisers to help meet their expenses. Stationery printers can supply a variety of budget friendly decor, Invitations and other items for such events.

Building Futures will be rolling out the welcome mat for its Annual Auction at 4:30 pm on November 13th. The doors will open for the ticket holders at 4:25 pm at 61 Glendale Avenue. Tickets to participate can be reserved in advance for $40.00 each.
