Halifax will be the place to be over the last week in July. Two popular festivals will be taking place during the seven-day period: the 27th annual Halifax International Busker Festival and the BellAliant Natal Day Festival.
The Busker Festival will entertain revellers at the Halifax Waterfront and will feature street performers from all over the world. This will include jugglers, dancers, fire breathers, contortionists and musicians. Five stages will also be graced by acts from 12:00 - 10:00pm daily. Performers will be competing for a variety of People's Choice Awards.
The Natal Day Festival comprises over 30 events throughout the city. Attendees will be offered free cake on the opening day of the festival, and will enjoy an appearance from the city's mayor, Mike Savage. There will also be a blues festival, gospel music performances, a comedy night, fireworks and a horseshoe tournament. The last day of the festival will feature a parade and a Dingle party.
Both of these events will likely be highly publicized in the Halifax area and no doubt local Print companies will be called upon to provide marketing materials, such as Flyers.
The Halifax International Busker Festival will take place from July 31 to August 5. Admission is free. For more information, visit the event's website.
The BellAliant Natal Day Festival will also take place from July 31 - August 5. Many events are free but some, such as the blues festival, have admission prices. For more information, contact Michael Kelly at 902-490-6773.
