Pop culture and gaming fans in Halifax will soon be gathering for two days of fun that will be all about bringing out everyone’s inner nerd.
The Spring Geekquinox is an event that has lots to offer those who enjoy gaming, animation, pop culture and the paranormal. It is billed as being one of the region's most affordable gatherings for those who like the geeky side of life, and will be a weekend of fun any age can enjoy.
The agenda for the two-day celebration is filled with tabletop and other games, and many area clubs will be participating. There will be special guest artists, writers and cosplay talent, and costume contests, panel discussions and a vendor alley will all help to create an occasion the organizers hope will be both fun and exciting for everyone who takes part.
The planners has said that the first 200 to register will have their passes automatically upgraded to VIP level, free of charge. These attendees will each receive Promotional Products and other swag to thank them for their support of the event. They will also have their names entered into door prize drawings and other giveaways.
This year’s Spring Geekquinox will be bringing some nerdy fun to the city on July 25 and 26. The Halifax Forum will be the venue for the occasion.
